Welcome to my website, named for my two cats, Miss Ralphie and Elsie. They were rescued when they were three or four weeks old, and I adopted them when they were about seven weeks. We have been living together happily for ten years now.

Something new on the site! I haven't made any changes to my website for a year... until today. I put my first video on the website. If you look at the buttons on the left, you'll find one that says "Life with Cats." This is a six-minute video. Nothing else on the site has changed, but I'm currently working on it. Really.

Come back again.

This is my personal website with pictures from my travels, a little commentary, and of course pictures of the cats.

I'm a retired graphics designer and advertising writer with plenty of time to pursue my photographic interests. I have been active in amateur photography since the early 1960s and have been taking digital pictures exclusively since 1997. My newest camera is a Lumix FZ8, but I use a Nikon 4800 as well as a Nikon D100. You'll see pictures from all of them on these pages.

Although I have maintained a website for about ten years, I recently had to give up using the discontinued Front Page software as a web page authoring program and learn its replacement, Expression Web. It has taken me about six months to figure out how to use it well enough to create my own webpage from scratch (too long a story to relate here). I also created and maintain a web page for a cat shelter, which you can visit at www.neadycats.org.

I find making a website is fun, even if only a small circle of friends get to see it. If you have come across my website and found something that caught your attention, please send me an email and let me know. I might be encouraged to change it more often if I find that strangers are visiting.

Come again. Now that I've got this website working I will make some changes more often.
